According to Hebrews 10:25, especially with Jesus coming back very soon, we are to never forsake the gathering of the saints, that means it is very important as believers to go to church. We want to make sure you get plugged into a local church that you can attend on a regular basis to grow in your walk with the Lord. Here are some basic doctrines that your local church must believe and teach on:
Believes that the Word of God is the final authority, the ultimate Truth (Luk 16:17, Luk 20:21, 2 Tim 3:16, Jos 1:8, Isa 40:8).
Believes in and are not ashamed of the Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit (Mat 3:11, Mar 1:8, Act 2:1-4, Act 2:17, Act 2:38, Act 8:15-18, Act 10:44-46, 1 Cor 12).
Believes in water baptism: you must be water baptized - full submersion, not as a baby but your own decision (Rom 6:4, Mat 28:18-20, Acts 10:47-48).
Believes in the "Great Commission", winning the lost and sharing the gospel to ALL (Mat 28:16-20).
Believes and operate in the power of the God and move in signs, wonders, and miracles (Mar 16:15-17).
Loves Jesus and loves one another (Mat 22:36-40, John 13:34-35).
Now that you know what to look for in a church, it is also important to watch/listen to Biblical teachings in your own time: at home, on a drive, while working, wherever you can. Sounds great, but maybe you are not sure WHO to listen to?
